Everyone checking us in were super friendly. This is a great base camp for seeing the Tetons and offers beautiful views. It doesn’t have much in the way of playground equipment or mini-golf, but as an adult without small kids it was perfect for us and the bar was definitely a perk. If you’re expecting a Jellystone or a KOA Holiday campground, this isn’t it. I can’t vouch for all of them in the campground but what we saw were good. Fireside Buffalo Valley RV Park: Small sites but amazing location - See 164 traveler reviews, 73 candid photos, and great deals for Fireside Buffalo Valley RV Park at Tripadvisor. After checking in and seeing our site, he was like “this place looks great! Why were you so worried?” The wi-fi and network speed was fine for what we needed it for and our 18 year old didn’t complain at all. I had been downplaying the campground on the drive in while talking to my son. It turned it into an experience for him! It was funny…I had seen the negative reviews but reserved anyway based on location. There was a guy playing an acoustic guitar singing a Tom Petty song when we were checking in that our 18 year old son was just amazed by. Everyone was friendly and the bar looked very inviting after spending a day pulling our camper. The location was perfect and the scenery was beautiful! The sites are mostly unleveled and if it rains (it did the morning we were leaving) you will be walking in mud and cussing like I did!! Most resorts have things like activities, a pool, entertainment, games, etc. The “sites” are so close together that you have little to no room to park your tow vehicle. After that it goes down hill! The “campground” is no more than a open field with sites that have little to no solid foundation other than a few gravel here and there. However, I feel after staying 3 nights at this so called campground/resort and paying $89 per night, plus taxes and yes- resort fees adding up to $315 for the stay, I felt obligated to warn others to look elsewhere! First let me point out the positives- location is it! You are close to the Tetons and 35 miles from Yellowstone. Let me first say I never leave reviews because I know many times they are misleading or inaccurate.
